Here’s what I offer

I work with adults, individually and as couples, and I offer clinical supervision to fellow therapists. Whatever brings you here, the starting point is the same: a safe, warm and confidential space, and a way of working that’s tailored to you rather than squeezed into a formula.

Sessions are available in person at my practices in Leith and Newington, Edinburgh, and online across Scotland and the wider UK.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is the deeper end of this work. Rather than only managing what's difficult right now, we explore the underlying patterns and structures that keep shaping your life: where they came from, how they once protected you, and what it takes to grow beyond them.

This is the work I love most. It asks more of you than a quick fix, and it gives back more too. Alongside talking, we work with mind, body and feelings together, because lasting change tends to happen when all of you is involved.

Counselling

Sometimes you don't need to excavate your whole history. You need a confidential space to think out loud, make sense of something that's happening now, whether that's a loss, a decision or a rough patch, and find your footing again.

Counselling offers exactly that: practical, present-focused support built around what you're facing right now. For many people it's the right doorway in. If deeper work calls to you later, we can go there together. If not, that's fine too.

Couples Therapy

When the person closest to you starts to feel far away, everything gets harder. Sometimes it's open conflict, the same argument on repeat. Just as often it's quieter than that: going through the motions, drifting into silence, the growing sense that something between you isn't working even if neither of you can quite name it.

I work with couples caught in these patterns, helping you understand the cycle that keeps pulling you both in, and the softer feelings underneath it that rarely get heard.

Coming to therapy together isn't an admission of failure. In my experience it's usually a sign of how much you both still care. I welcome all couples, whatever your relationship structure, orientation or identity.

Clinical supervision

Good supervision is part of good practice — I believe that as strongly for myself as for the therapists I supervise. I offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors looking for a reflective, supportive space to bring their client work, their questions and themselves.

My supervision draws on the same integrative, body-informed foundations as my clinical work, and on more than twenty years in the helping professions.

Online Therapy

Life doesn't always make it easy to get to a therapy room, and it doesn't need to. I work online with clients across the UK and around the world, with the same care and presence as in-person sessions. All you need is a private space and a reasonable internet connection.

Fees

Individual sessions are £80 and couples sessions are £95. Each session is 50 minutes. I hold space for some lower-cost sessions for those who can't afford this. If that's you, get in touch and we can have a chat.
